Terms of Business

Last updated: August 2026

These terms explain how we will work together and what you can expect from Keyworth Therapy (a trading name of Retake Control Ltd). Booking a session means you have read and agreed to them. If anything here is unclear, please ask before we begin.

Who you are working with

You will be working with Lisa Marchant, a clinical hypnotherapist. Lisa sees clients in person in Axminster and Bristol, and online across the UK and internationally, including the USA.

How we work together

Hypnotherapy is a collaborative process. Lisa will bring her training, experience and full professional attention to every session, and your commitment matters just as much. Getting the most from your sessions means engaging with any recordings or exercises between appointments and being willing to make small changes in daily life. The more you put in, the more you are likely to get out.

Hypnotherapy and your health

Lisa is a hypnotherapist, not a medical doctor. She cannot diagnose medical or psychological conditions, and hypnotherapy is not a substitute for advice or treatment from your GP or another qualified healthcare professional. If you are receiving treatment for a physical or mental health condition, please continue with it and let Lisa know so she can support you appropriately. If you are under the care of a medical professional, she may ask for their consent before beginning.

Session duration

A standard session lasts around 50 to 60 minutes. Please arrive, or log in for online sessions, a few minutes early so we can start on time. If you arrive late, the session may need to be shortened so that it finishes at the scheduled time, and the full fee will still apply.

Payment

Current fees are shown on the website or confirmed with you before your first session. Payment is due at or before each session, by bank transfer or cash. A receipt is available on request. Where a series of sessions is agreed in advance, payment terms will be confirmed with you at the outset.

Cancellations

Please give at least 48 hours' notice if you need to cancel or rearrange an appointment, so the time can be offered to someone else. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice, and missed appointments, will be charged at 50% of the session fee. Lisa understands that emergencies happen and will always consider genuine, exceptional circumstances with fairness.

Contact between sessions

Between appointments, contact is usually limited to arranging or rearranging sessions, which is best done by text or phone. If something comes up that you feel Lisa should know before your next session, you are welcome to get in touch and she will respond as soon as she reasonably can.

Confidentiality and your data

What you share in your sessions is treated as confidential. Personal information is handled in line with UK GDPR, and full details of what is collected and how it is used are set out in our Privacy Policy. Confidentiality would only be broken in the rare circumstances where the law requires it, or where there is a serious and immediate risk of harm to you or someone else. Wherever possible, Lisa would discuss this with you first.

Children and young people

Lisa works with young people as well as adults. For anyone under the age of 18, the consent of a parent or guardian is required before sessions begin, and a parent or guardian may be asked to be present or contactable.

Clients based outside the UK

Online sessions are welcome from clients based outside the UK. Wherever you are working from, these terms and our working relationship are governed by the law of England and Wales.
